The website’s author recounts adventures in learning R, a free, open-source statistics and graphics tool. The website goes well beyond the basics, and has strong coverage of R’s charting and graphics.

This is the companion blog to the Wall Street Journal column of the same name. The author, Carl Bialik, applies a mathematical eye to the news.

This website is focuses on data visualization and statistics, with a lean towards real-world (and sometimes fun) applicability.

Chart Porn

Don’t let the name fool you: this site is typically work-friendly. Chart Porn shares interesting visualizations — that is, charts, maps, or other pictorial interpretations of data — from around the web.
